Offsetting your flight’s CO2 emissions is easier than ever with our Miles & More app. It will automatically calculate your carbon footprint, which you can offset with cash or miles. You’ll then be able to earn digital badges and become a mindfulflyer. You can share your digital badges on social media and encourage others to take part.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have miles or Points credited retroactively?
With Miles & More, you can make a retroactive credit request for miles and Points within 6 months of the date of the activity. Many partners offer the option of submitting a credit request via the relevant online form.
Can I earn miles together with my family and friends?
If you’d like to earn miles as a family or with friends, you can create a miles pool of up to 2 adults (aged 18 or older) and up to 5 children (aged between 2 and 17 years).
The miles of all pool members are combined in a virtual mileage account, and all adults are equally entitled to use the mileage credit, manage the mileage pool and invite members. Children do not have access to all the pool miles; they can only access the miles they themselves have earned.
In addition, you always have the option of redeeming miles from your personal credit for awards for loved ones or friends.
How long are my Miles & More miles valid?
Your miles are valid for 36 months from the date you earn them. After 36 months, unused miles expire at the end of the quarter. Here’s how we’ll let you know when your miles are about to expire:
- your account balance on our website or in our app will show you the miles that will expire at the end of the current quarter and the next quarter.
- You’ll receive a summary of all the miles that are due to expire at the end of the current quarter approximately 2 months in advance in our Miles & More newsletter, which you can subscribe to here.
Here’s an example: let’s say you took a flight from Frankfurt to New York on 12.12.2022. After 36 months, those miles would expire at the end of the quarter, i.e. on 31.12.2025.
How can I book an Award Flight?
The quickest way to get your Award Flight is by booking online via the Miles & More website. There, you’ll find flights with almost all of our airline partners and be able to book them directly.
Your Miles & More Service Team will, of course, also be happy to help you with your booking. To book over the phone, please have your Miles & More PIN available for identification purposes.
