With the 3-region flight award, you can travel with a stopover

Woman checking into hotel – Special flight awards: 3-region flight award

For a trip with a stopover, the 3-region flight award is ideal. This allows you a stopover within the second region and you can even fit in a longer stay. In certain cases, you need significantly fewer award miles for this when compared with two standard flight awards.

Book a 3-region flight award

You can book a 3-region flight award online with practically every Miles & More airline partner.

It works like this

1.

Choose your flight in the desired booking class with one of the participating airlines.

2.

Redeem your award miles for the 3-region flight award. You can see how many miles you need in the table below.

3.

The award miles will be automatically debited from your mileage account.

If online booking is not available, feel free to contact your local Miles & More Service Team.

Good to know

Example:
You depart from New York (JFK), enjoy a stay in Frankfurt (FRA), and then fly on to Bangkok (BKK).

Region 1 is the departure region (North America), Region 2 is the stopover region (Europe), and Region 3 is the destination region (Southeast Asia).

With the 3-region flight award, you save 40,000 miles in this example when compared with standard flight awards in Economy Class. You only spend 100,000 miles compared to 140,000 miles for two standard flight awards.

The outward and return flights may also include different regions.

You can find a list of the regions in the country table on page 2 of the Star Alliance flight award table.
