Flying with responsibility

TAP Air Portugal was founded in 1945 and has been a member of the largest global network of airline companies, Star Alliance, since March 2005. TAP Air Portugal pays particular attention to sustainability and was the first airline in the world to implement the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) carbon-offsetting scheme. In recognition of this, UNESCO honoured TAP Air Portugal with the “Planet Earth” prize in the year 2010.
