How long are my Miles & More award miles valid?

Miles are valid for 36 months from the date you earn them. Unused miles expire at the end of the relevant quarter. Here’s how we’ll let you know when your miles are about to expire:

The miles that are due to expire at the end of the current quarter and the following quarter are shown on your online statement.
Subscribe to our online newsletter to receive a summary of all the miles that are due to expire at the end of the current quarter approximately two months in advance.

Here’s an example: you took a flight from Frankfurt to New York on 12.12.2016. These miles will expire after 36 months at the end of the following quarter, i.e. on 31.12.2019.
