Achieve frequent flyer status
To achieve frequent flyer status, you’ll need a certain number of Points, Qualifying Points or HON Circle Points per calendar year.

You become a Frequent Traveller when you earn 650 Points and 325 Qualifying Points in a calendar year. To achieve Senator status, you need 2,000 Points and 1,000 Qualifying Points. You achieve HON Circle status with 6,000 HON Circle Points in a calendar year.
Frequently asked questions
Transferring miles and Points between frequent flyer programmes
It’s not possible to transfer your miles, Points, Qualifying Points and HON Circle Points to another frequent flyer programme. The miles and Points you earn on your flights are always credited to the Miles & More account specified by you or your travel agency in the flight booking. Flights can only ever count towards one programme.
If your miles, Points, Qualifying Points or HON Circle Points have not been credited, you can request a credit online at any time.
Status validity for Frequent Travellers and Senators
If you achieve or renew your status after 1 January 2024 based on Points and Qualifying Points or HON Circle Points, the term will be a minimum of one year. It will start as soon as you’ve achieved your status and finish at the end of February the year after next. The qualification period is one calendar year.
Example:
if you achieve your qualification for the status in April 2024, it will remain valid until the end of February 2026.
Status-relevant flights and flight segments
To achieve Frequent Traveller or Senator status, you’ll need both Points and Qualifying Points. To achieve HON Circle status, you’ll need HON Circle Points.
You can earn Points on flights operated by Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Discover Airlines, Eurowings, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City, Luxair, SWISS and all other Star Alliance airlines.
You can earn Qualifying Points and HON Circle Points on flights operated by the following airlines: Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Discover Airlines, Eurowings, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City, Luxair and SWISS.
HON Circle Points will only be awarded on flights in Business and First Class.
Depending on the airline, some flight numbers and booking classes may not qualify for earning Points, Qualifying Points and HON Circle Points. You can find further information on our airline partners’ offer pages.
Points, Qualifying Points and HON Circle Points can be earned on LX code-share flights operated by Edelweiss (flight numbers LX8000–8499), provided these flights are booked directly with SWISS under the LX flight number.
HON Circle status validity

Members without frequent flyer status
To meet today’s requirements for digital and environmentally friendly solutions, Miles & More is no longer issuing Miles & More service cards for members without frequent flyer status. You can find your digital service card in the Miles & More app. This allows you to keep using all the services related to earning and redeeming miles.
