A flight award is any type of flight that you can book with your award miles. No matter whether it’s for yourself or for other people, who don’t even have to be members of the Miles & More programme.

Step by step to your flight award
Before you book a flight award with one of our 40 airline partners, find out how many award miles you need in the Star Alliance flight award chart. You’ll find the information for the Flex flight award, which already includes the airline surcharges, here.
If one of our great value flight awards, such as Early Bird, mileage bargain or Fly Smart is available for your desired route, this will be automatically displayed when you book online. This way you can’t miss finding the best offer.
It works like this
Log in with your Miles & More profile and click on the flight award booking icon.
Enter your flight route and travel dates and click “Search for flights”. The most attractive offers will then be displayed.
Select outward and return flights and click “next” to go to your shopping basket.
Enter the passenger details, and click to continue to payment. Select the payment method for taxes, surcharges and fees, which you can also settle with miles for flights within Europe.
Book your flight award and pay. You will receive a booking confirmation by email immediately afterwards.

Frequently asked questions about booking award flights
How can I book a flight award?
The quickest way to your flight award ticket is an online reservation via the Miles & More website. Here you will find flight connections with almost all our airline partners, and you can book these straight away.
In addition, your Miles & More Service Team will, of course, be happy to help you make a reservation. For a telephone booking, please have your Miles & More PIN ready for identification purposes.

Can I cancel or rebook my flight award ticket once it has been issued?
If you wish to cancel your already issued flight award ticket, the award miles will be credited back to your mileage account once the cancellation has been completed. Miles cannot be refunded with reduced flight awards.
It is possible to rebook flight award tickets within the validity period for the ticket. You can change the date and time, but not the route. Tickets for Early Bird and Fly Smart flight awards, as well as mileage bargains, cannot be changed once they have been issued.
Please contact your Miles & More Service Team if you wish to cancel or rebook a ticket. In both cases, a reduced fee of EUR 25 per ticket will be charged; this amount may vary or there may be no fee with some flight awards.
What does it cost to rebook or cancel an award flight?
You will be charged EUR 50 per ticket to rebook or cancel a flight award. This amount may vary or there may be no charge at all with certain flight awards. Please also note that rebookings may result in additional charges or refunds for taxes, fees and surcharges.

Is an advance seat reservation possible on award flights?
You can reserve a seat for award flights with some airline partners, both with online award bookings and when booking via the Miles & More Service Centre. You can also make an advance seat reservation after booking; you can do this quickly and easily online with selected airline partners via your booking summary.
Whether a reservation is free of charge depends on the conditions of the airline concerned. In the event of an advance seat reservation that requires payment or if no advance seat reservation is available for the airline you have booked via the website or the Miles & More Service Team, please contact the airline directly to book your preferred seat.
What destinations are there worldwide for Miles & More flight awards?
The assignment of flight destinations to individual regions applies both to Star Alliance flight awards and all other flight awards.
